Dancing For Life is a Charity Fund Raiser organized by Matt Craig and friends in honour of his fried who died of cancer at age 25 in 2006. Celebrating his life with a big dance party with all proceeds going to Canadian Cancer Society.
So what does this have to do with Toronto modern jive? Lots! Because our very own modern jive dance class teacher, Matt Craig, was featured featured in the Globe and Mail as he was playing on the Belize piano at Keorner Hall, Bloor Street last week.
Dance classes Toronto! Jive Nation Toronto’s Modern Jive dance classes are on Summer recess until September 6th 2012. We’re getting some R+R as well as dancing up a storm in London UK at modern jive and Ceroc modern jive dance classes, which will be fun!

Saturday March 3rd was a busy day indeed, especially for our Modern Jive teacher Matt. At 1pm he taught another Intensive beginner modern jive dance workshop, complete with 13 beginner modern jive moves, putting them all together in three great routines.
Then, come the evening, Matt and Ben treated us to some amazing music at their classical piano concert. All I can say is what’s been said… though not nearly enough in my opinion…. these are two amazingly talented guys.

It’ll be 90 minutes of some of the greatest classical music ever written for the piano. Friends and I are going to be there, we’re very excited and I just want as many people as possible to join us if they can make it.
On Thursday January 5th Jive Nation Toronto held a fantastic Open House event – it was very well attended and great to see everyone who turned out to take the lesson and dance afterwards. We had a great time… and it was fabulous to see so many come back the following week for another fun modern jive dance class.
